My Rebatched Pine Tar Soap bars, with Shea Butter, offer a naturally rustic and soothing bathing experience. Made with Pine Tar (believed to be moisturizing to the skin) this all-natural soap has no added color or scent. According to my nose, the natural Pine Tar scent resembles that of a campfire in the woods. The scent is not overwhelming, though. I only use creosote-free Pine Tar in my recipe. As always, I make my soap in small batches.
What does Rebatching mean in the soap world? Well, there's Partial Rebatch and Full Rebatch. Mine is a Full Rebatch. Full rebatch just means to grate up soap, melt it, and let it cool, then cut into new bars. In this case, I made this batch of Pine Tar Soap not long ago but decided I didn't find the appearance very appealing. Also, I'd wished I'd added Shea Butter. Well, now it's been added and it's just right! I hope you enjoy!!
